The new Nvidia card, which is designed for professional applications, doubles the performance of its K40 predecessor, and packs some impressive specs including a full 24 GB graphics memory or 12 GB per GPU. At 5 GHz effective over a 384-bit memory interface, the GDDR5 RAM provides an aggregate 480 GB/s of bandwidth (240 GB/s per GPU). This chip taking over the high end of the market, so don’t expect to see a 28nm variant.
